The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of disruptions in our daily lives, and has forced governments, international organizations, as well as quasi-governmental organizations, to adapt the way they deliver development cooperation work.
The webinar is organized in the context of the WIPO Development Agenda and the work of the Committee on Development and IP. It will be held in English, and it will explore the ways in which COVID-related restrictions have impacted the delivery of technical assistance during 2020 and 2021; discuss the measures taken to adapt technical assistance activities and their effectiveness; and identify best practices that could be incorporated into the future delivery of technical assistance.
During the first part of the webinar you will listen to experiences of IGOs in adapting their delivery of technical assistance in the times of the COVID-19 pandemic and the best practices identified so far. In the second part, Member States from different geographical regions will share the challenges they faced, and lesson learned on the ground.
